¿What is reiki?

Rei-ki means universal energy and originated in the year 1920 in Japan by Mikao Usui, who was the founder of this system of natural harmonization called Reiki. It is a type of alternative and complementary medicine in which "vital energy" is channeled to the patient through the laying on of hands, thus helping to improve many health conditions.

What does it consist?
  • During the Reiki treatment, you may lie down or sit, in a quiet place, your hands will be placed on your body or on top using different hand positions.
  • The person may feel warmth, relaxation, or vibration. Each sensation is individual.
  • Reiki attempts to achieve a balance in the flow of this energy and seeks to stimulate the body's healing abilities.
    Sessions can last 20 to 30 minutes.

How long does a Reiki session last?
